IT shares were among the top gainers on the NSE on Friday morning. At 10.55 am Tech Mahindra was the top gainer, trading at Rs 502.75 against Rs 491.80 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 2.23 per cent.
Idea Cellular spurted 1.42 per cent at Rs 181.75 against Rs 179.20 at close overnight.
HCL Technologies advanced 1.26 per cent to quote at Rs 968.65 against Rs 956.55 at close on Thursday.
UltraTech Cement was up 1.04 per cent at Rs 3,208.15. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 3,175.05.
Tata Steel spiked up 1.01 per cent at Rs 283.65 against Rs 280.80 at close yesterday.
