King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will pay a state visit from February 18-20, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on Friday.
During his first visit here, the King will meet President Pranab Mukherjee apart from holding delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Bahrain is an important trading partner for India with our non-oil bilateral trade in 2012-13 exceeding $1.3 billion.
Over 350,000 Indian nationals work and contribute to the development of Bahrain, the Ministry said in a statement adding that India has a vital stake in the Gulf and the Middle East region.
