The Mangalore-based Hangyo Ice Creams Pvt Ltd unveiled its new brand logo in Mangalore on Thursday.
N Santosh Hegde, former Lokayukta of Karnataka, unveiled the logo at SDM Mangalajyothi Integrated School at Vamanjoor on the outskirts of Mangalore.
Speaking at the launch of the new logo, Pradeep G Pai, Managing Director, said that Hangyo ice creams has presence in Karnataka, Goa, Hyderabad, southern Maharashtra, and parts of Kerala. It has a network of around 5,200 retailers and 90 channel partners.
The company has manufacturing facilities at Heroor village in Udupi district and at Kirawatti village of Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka.
Pai said that Hangyo, which is a regional brand, has ambition to go national with ‘Make in India’ principle.
He announced that his company will distribute ice creams free-of-cost at 11 government schools in five states to mark ‘Children’s Day’ on November 14.
