The sleeper class coaches in certain trains will be temporarily replaced with AC 3-tier coaches or chair cars, according to a press statement by the Palakkad division of Southern Railways here.
The S-2 sleeper class coach of train no. 12617 Ernakulam Junction - Nizamuddin Mangala Express will be replaced with an AC 3-tier coach (marked as B-4) with effect from July 27.
The S-7 sleeper class coach of train no. 16859 Chennai Egmore - Mangalore Central Express will be replaced with an AC Chair Car coach (marked as D-4) with effect from July 27.
The S-9 sleeper class coach of train no 16860 Mangalore Central - Chennai Egmore Express will be replaced with an AC Chair Car coach (marked as D-4) with effect from July 29, the statement said.
