The Finance Ministry has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on certain High Tenacity Polyester Yarns (HTPY) imports from China.
This move from revenue department came in little over a month after the authority, in its final findings recommended imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on certain HTPY imports from China.
Reliance Industries Ltd and SRF Ltd had filed the petition seeking anti-dumping probe on this.
The anti-dumping duty, which will be valid for five years, ranged from ‘Nil’ to $ 528 per tonne depending on the HTPY producer.
HTPY is used in manufacturing of wide variety of products like - tyre cord fabric, seat belt webbing, Geo grids, geo strips, slings, ropes, single cord, coated fabric, conveyor belt fabric, rubberised hose, fire hose and automotive hose.
