Kasturba Medical College, a constituent college of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), will host the sixth national conference of the Forum for Ethics Review Committees in India in Mangaluru on November 30 and December 1. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, B Unnikrishnan, Organising Secretary and Associate Dean, Kasturba Medical College, Mangaluru, said the theme of the conference is: ‘Dilemmas challenging ethics committees and their stakeholders’. “Ethical values are on the wane in the present day, and we need to deliberate on this very crucial issue, especially in biomedical research,” he said. Biomedical research involves many inter-related disciplines and various stakeholders.
