The first cluster of the Final Placement process for the PGP class of 2019 at the Indian Institute of Management- Ahmedabad (IIM-A) saw companies from investment banking, markets, management consulting, venture capital and asset management queuing up to make offers.
Consulting major, Accenture Strategy was the top recruiter with 24 offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), while other prominent recruiters included The Boston Consulting Group with 20 offers in the management consulting cohort of Cluster 1. Consulting firms made offers in the management consulting roles across geographies including Singapore and Malaysia.
In the finance sector, Avendus made the highest number of offers at nine - including PPOs, followed by JP Morgan Chase & Co with eight offers. The roles included investment banking, private equity, venture capital and capital markets across functions and geographies including Hong Kong and USA.
The first cluster comprising of five cohorts saw some of the other regular recruiters such as A.T. Kearney, Bain & Co., Goldman Sachs, HSBC, McKinsey & Company, Monitor Deloitte, and Oliver Wyman, among others.
The final placement process will continue for another two clusters. The second cluster will be held on February 11, 2019.
