Jain (deemed-to-be) University will open its off-campus centre at the Knowledge Park, near Infopark in Kochi, in 2019-20 academic year.
The centre will offer 30 course programmes in undergraduate and post-graduate levels in Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Computer, Life Science, Applied Science and other domains.
Admissions to all courses will be through entrance examinations.
Chenraj Roychand, Chairman, Jain University, said the Kochi centre would offer education that blends skills, entrepreneurship and choice-based specialisation with the aim of increasing employability.
“In Kerala, we will follow a unique five-pronged approach to education, research, placements and training, which includes skills for tomorrow, entrepreneurship, choice-based specialised education, research and innovation and placement and training,” he said.
Students from the Kerala campus will have access to the university’s centralised placement and training cell in Bengaluru, Roychand said, adding that the cell will facilitate both summer internships and full-time job placements.
