Jain University has conducted its annual HR Conclave with the aim of identifying the role of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence in HR. The conclave was done in association with Global Work Force Management (GWFM) and was held at CMS Business School, Bengaluru which attracted around 160 HR professionals, including 20 senior HR leaders from industry and academia.
The advances in technology have created new challenges and advantages for the HR professional, who has to handle a hybrid workforce. But the role of the HR professional becomes crucial, as automation in the world of HR itself becomes a concern. This calls for the HR professional to harness the power of technology to identify what needs to be taken over by the human workforce and what needs to be taken over by technology.
Dinesh Nilkant, Dean - CMS Business School, said the world of AI and robotics has a bright future, despite wide ranging debates all over the world. Pramod Sadarjoshi, Senior Director, Asia Pacific HCM Strategy & Transformation, Oracle, gave a picture of AI usage in HR and the way the recruitment process and talent management processes have been automated.
The panelists discussed the need to address the growing demand and possibilities of the use of data, automation and AI to obtain quality talent with minimal costs. Further, organisations are anxious about the impact and cost of attrition and how long it takes to analyse new employees’ productivity, for which the use of analytics reduces the stress to analyse employee data.
