As the NDA government readies itself to present the last Budget of its five-year tenure, BusinessLine’s CountDown to Union Budget 2018 event will see experts from various sectors talk about their expectations on the upcoming Budget.
The event, which begins at 11 am on Friday, will have Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Minister, as the chief guest.
Gadkari’s address will be followed by three panel discussions.
Panelists for the first discussion, on the Infra sector, will include Seshagiri Rao, Joint MD and Group CFO, JSW; Ajit Ranade, Chief Economist, Aditya Birla Group; Umesh Revankar, CEO and MD, Shriram Transport Finance; Rajiv Agarwal, CEO, Essar Shipping; and Manish Agarwal, Partner, PwC.
The participants in the second panel discussion on BFSI include Rishi Gupta, MD and CEO, Fino Payments Bank; Baskar Babu R, MD and CEO, Suryoday Small Finance Bank; Rajesh Mokashi, MD and CEO, Care Ratings; KP Nair, Deputy Managing Director, IDBI Bank; Ashish Agarwal, Chief Risk Officer, YES Bank; and Naveen Surya, Chairman, Payments Council of India.
The third and final panel discussion on Financial Markets will have five panelists, including Shankar Sharma, Co-Founder and Chief Global Strategist, First Global; Samir Arora, Founder and Fund Manager of Helios; Praveen Chakravarty, Political Economist, Fellow of IDFC Institute; Dinesh Kanabar, Founder and CEO, Dhruva Advisor; and NS Venkatesh, CEO, AMFI.
