PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has a new President in Gopal Jiwarajka.
Prior to this elevation, Jiwarajka, Chairman and Managing Director of Salora International, was PHDCCI's Senior Vice President.
Jiwarajka assumed charge as new PHDCCI President on Saturday following the conclusion of the 111th Annual Session of the chamber today.
A commerce graduate from Sydenham college, Mumbai, Jiwarajka has 35 years experience in manufacturing, marketing and finance. He has been instrumental in setting up seven manufacturing plants for colour televisions, audio systems and components for Salora International.
He is also a founder member of the Indian Cellular Association and served on executive committee of Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA).
