Indian School of Business (ISB) in collaboration with US-based Institute for Study of Business Markets (ISBM) has launched the Centre for Business Markets (CBM), which seeks to provide access to state-of-the-art research in business-to- business (B2B) marketing, sales and purchasing.

“B2B marketing is a specialised area that needs rigorous academic study and corporate engagement to meet ground reality needs in growth markets,” DVR Seshadri, Director, Centre for Business Markets, ISB, said in a release.

It aims to bring the best practices of B2B marketing, including those proven in developed markets, as well as those that are unique to the realities of emerging markets to address the various challenges being faced by business market firms in growth markets.

This will be done through a blend of theory and practice, to radically enhance the performance, competence and capabilities of the companies. The CBM’s faculty comprises academics and consultants to bring real-world experience and practical business expertise to every engagement.
