Hoping to cash in on its pan-India presence, Kochi-based technical consultancy organisation Kitco is eyeing a 20 per cent growth in the current fiscal.

Cyriac Davies, MD, said the company had bagged various projects across the country and touched a turnover of ₹60 crore in 2017-18 against ₹50.35 crore in the previous year.

Net profit

The net profit for the year was ₹9.35 crore compared with ₹8.37 crore. Kitco has also been appointed the special purpose vehicle for development of sports infrastructure in Kerala.

The consultancy for the ₹300-crore ayurveda project in Kannur and detailed design consultancy for terminals of Kochi Water Metro projects are the major works within the State.

The project management consultancy for supervision of modification and expansion of existing integrated terminal building at Mangaluru International Airport, consultancy for preparation of techno-economic feasibility and detailed project reports of Moradabad Airport at Uttar Pradesh and projects from NHAI and consultancy services HPCL are some of the major assignments during the year.

“Kitco, established in 1972, has emerged as a major entity in the consultancy organisation and we have established a niche in areas like airport projects, mobility hubs, medical and healthcare infrastructure, environmental engi- neering, ports and logistics and tourism, leisure and sports,” Davies said.

Airport consultancy

The cost-efficiency developed by Kitco in planning greenfield airports has become a national benchmark, he said.

Kitco made its mark in the airport infrastructure with the preparation of the DPR of the Cochin International Airport in the 1990s.
