A three-day consultation meet with all focus groups will be held from Monday to chalk out the detailed project report for the smart city, according to Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Commissioner Praveen Kumar.

He said in a press release here on Sunday that AECOM India Pvt Ltd had been chosen the consultant for the preparation of DPR. The consultations would be held at the old council hall of the GVMC.

Discussions would be held with the district collector, the commissioner and officials. Priority projects and the ongoing projects would be reviewed and various stakeholders would give their opinions.

On Tuesday, the consultant would meet officials and others to discuss environment, disaster management and security aspects. Education and public health would also figure prominently. On Wednesday, there would be an overall review meeting.

On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, who would be here to participate in the All-India Whips' Conference, would have discussions with the consultant, GVMC officials and others regarding the DPR to be prepared for the city.

Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Tirupati are the three cities chosen by the Union Government in the State in the first round among 98 all over the country. All the three cities would have to send DPRs for the second round.
