“Tax-free entertainment” is how senior BJP leader and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Gopalkrishna Prabhu Parrikar sees the AAP Government in Delhi. “Goa is considering making the entertainment industry tax-free. In Delhi, you are getting free entertainment,” he told Business Line . When asked what advice he has for fellow IITian Arvind Kejriwal, he said: “I shouldn’t give unsolicited advice.”
Talking about policy decisions taken by the UPA-II Government, he said: “They want to stop consumerism. But, it is the present Government that has started consumerism.”
On whether he will be part of the national scene in the BJP, Parrikar said: “Participating more with the Centre is different from shifting to the centre. The mandate for me is to head Goa, and that is what I am doing.”
