Puneet Dhawan of Accor is brimming with ideas on ways to revive the hospitality sector
NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning’s (NSRCEL) newest incubatee company at IIM-B has found a solution to parking woes.
Pristech Analytics, founded by Shampa Ganguly, an IIM-B alumna, and Pritam Ganguly in August 2013, has devised a way to reserve a parking place in advance.
Pparke, the parking analytics platform of Pristech, can help malls, public parking providers, universities, airports, municipal corporations and just about anyone who owns parking lots to make better use of their parking spaces and make life easy for the vehicle owners.
Pristech is the latest company to join the list of companies incubated at NSRCEL at IIM-Bangalore. The past incubatees of NSRCEL include companies such as JustBooks, Amagi, Milap, MeshLabs and many others that have made an impact or even redefined the markets they serve.
Ganguly had started with mentoring at NSRCEL when the idea for Pparke started brewing in her mind. Over a period of one year and a couple of mentoring sessions later, she launched Pparke.
At a mentoring session in April 2014, NSRCEL’s mentor-in-residence, Nagaraj Prakasam, suggested to her that Pristech was at the right stage to get incubated.
An EGMP graduate from IIM-Bangalore and a technologist with over a decade of experience, Ganguly said, “We are very excited about being selected for incubation at NSRCEL. It offers the best combination between academia and industry – with access to a world-class network of mentors, faculty, investors, corporates and entrepreneurs. Veing an IIM-B alumna, I feel completely at ease in this environment.”
Pristech Analytics has set a mission to merge technology and analytics for improved business. And with Pparke connecting people with neighbourhood parking, they are poised to help stakeholders provide a streamlined parking experience for their customers and in the process, make a city more environment-friendly.
NSRCEL, since its inception in March 2000, has been a focal point for entrepreneurship development at IIM-Bangalore. NSRCEL’s mission is to help entrepreneurs take enterprises from the idea to implementation stage.
