Corporation Bank organised stage presentation of selected stories of the Hindi writer Munshi Premchand in Mangalore on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, said that it was for the first time such a mega event was organised in Mangalore and emphasised that such events were necessary for taking Hindi to the masses. He released the book ‘Meri Munshi Se Bhent’ penned by Mujeeb Khan of the Mumbai-based Ideal Drama and Entertainment Academy on the occasion.
Ashwani Kumar, Executive Director of the bank, was present on the occasion.
The event was organised as part of the Hindi fortnight celebrations. Munshi Premchand’s three stories Kafan, Bade Ghar Ki Beti and Rasik Sampadak were enacted on the occasion.
