Unidentified robbers struck at the branch of a nationalised bank here and decamped with valuables by breaking as many as 40 lockers, police said on Saturday.
The robbers entered the Reru branch of Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) by breaking the lock at the main gate, and then dismantled the lockers with the help of gas cutters, DCP Sarabjeet Singh said.
The bank management came to know about the heist this morning after which the police was informed, Singh said.
The bank staff is making a list of the looted valuables, he said, adding that investigations into the matter are on.
