A meeting of Parliament members of Telugu Desam party and BJP from Andhra Pradesh today identified 35 key issues that would be brought up during the Parliament session.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju addressed the MPs.

The issues include the proposed special status to the State after the bifurcation and an incentive package to seven backward districts.

The MPs will also be seeking conversion of ₹10,000 crore loan granted by the Government to the State over the years into grant. They will also seek adequate budgetary support to make up for the ₹15,000-crore deficit that the State faces after the bifurcation.

The Chief Minister wanted MPs to seek resources to set up higher education institutions such as IITs and IIMs.
