The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is meeting today to discuss the developments in the cash-for-vote scam and follow up action in phone tapping case.
The meeting chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu assumes importance in the backdrop of rapidly unfolding developments in the case resulting in issue of notices to two more persons including a TDP MLA and its candidate for Council polls Vem Narender Reddy.
The Anti Corruption Bureau has served notices to Sandra Venkataveeriah, a TDP leader in the cash for vote scam and Vem Narendar Reddy late last night asking them to come for probe.
The notice under Section 160 Cr. PC calls upon the Sattupalli TDP leader and Reddy to be present for interrogation by the ACB.
While Sandra was not at home when the ACB officials went to serve the notice, ACB met Reddy and asked him to come for questioning.
Meanwhile, Officials of Union Home Ministry are expected to meet the Governor ESL Narasimhan today.
The Telangana Government has beefed up security in the capital.
There are reports that ACB may serve notices on some more leaders for questioning, while the report from Forensic Science Lab is awaited in the case.
The Lab report is likely to help corroborate ACB information in the case and possibly help include more people in the probe.
