Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said he was `saddened' by the sudden death of popular actor and comedian, M. N. Narayana.

In his condolence message, Naidu said, “M. S. Narayana made us laugh hard and touched every element of human spirit.''

A popular comedian in the Telugu film industry, M S Narayana, (63), passed away after a brief illness, in a corporate hospital here on Friday. He hailed from Nidamarru village in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, and started his career as a writer three-and-a-half decades ago.

He had acted in about 750 Telugu films including movies such as Magadheeraa and Dukudu , among others.

Before establishing himself in the film industry, Narayana had worked as a Telugu lecturer in K G R College, Bhimavaram, and was popular with the student community for his sense of humour and inspiring teaching. He was also an avid reader and an admirer of Russian-American novelist Ayn Rand.
