Popular comedian in the Telugu film industry, M S Narayana (63), passed away after a brief illness here on Friday.
Narayana, who hailed from Nidamarru village in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, started his career as a writer three-and-a-half decades ago. He acted in about 750 films, including successful movies such as Magadheeraa and Dukudu , among others.
Before establishing himself in the film industry, Narayana had served as a Telugu lecturer in K G R College, Bhimavaram, and was quite popular with the student community for his sense of humour and inspiring teaching. He was also an avid reader and an admirer of Russian-American novelist Ayn Rand.
