Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT Nara Lokesh inaugurated 16 IT companies at Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Wednesday, set up with the assistance of AP Non-Resident Telugu Society.
The Minister said on the occsion that four IT clusters would be developed in the State at Visakapatnam, Anantapur, Tirupati and Amaravati, with a target of providing 10 lakh jobs in the coming 10 years.
He said that the State government had been attracting IT companies by introducing the designated technology park policy. The right ecosystem was being developed, he added.
He said the 16 companies were expected to provide employment to 2,000 people in coming two years.
The AP NRT Society has so far brought to the State 54 IT companies with the cooperation of Telugu NRIs and a target has been set to bring 75 IT companies by March.
