Elaborate arrangements are being made by the Government for the ‘Maha Sankalpam’, a public meeting to be addressed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday in Mangalagiri on completion of one year in office.
About four lakh people are expected to take part in the meeting to be held at the same venue where Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister after the bifurcation of the state in June last year to create separate Telangana State.
Chief Secretary to the State Government, I Y R Krishna Rao held a video conference with the 13 district collectors on Sunday and reviewed the arrangements for the event. They were also directed to ensure adequate water supply and hassle-free transport for the participants.
The Guntur district administration will distribute 10 lakh drinking water packets and five lakh butter milk packets to the people at the venue, according to its collector, Kantilal Dande.
