The Central Government has provided a financial support of Rs 2,303 crore to Andhra Pradesh to bridge the resource gap for the financial year 2014-15.
The Ministry of Finance had earlier released an amount of Rs 500 crore as an ad hoc grant to bridge the resource gap. Now, an additional/balance amount of Rs 1,803 crore has been released for this purpose on March 31, 2015, according to a statement from the Union Finance Ministry.
In pursuance to Section 46(2) of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act 2014, the Union Ministry of Finance has decided to provide a financial support of Rs 2,303 crore to the Government of Andhra Pradesh to bridge the resource gap. The State Government has been seeking additional funds from the Centre to bridge the financé gap.
