In an effort to simplify the process of lodging complaints with Haryana power distribution companies UHBVN and DHBVN, a new complaint registration number was launched on Wednesday.
Consumers can now lodge their complaints round the clock by simply dialling a new BSNL basic phone number 155333, an official spokesperson said here.
Complaints related to power supply failure will be registered and fed in a computer at the call centre and field staff as well as the complaint centre will immediately be alerted and asked to attend, he said.
On restoration of supply or on redressal of complaints, the consumer’s feedback will also be sought over phone, the spokesperson said.
If the complaint is of any other nature like billing problems, new connection, replacement of electric meter or expansion of system, the complaint will be directly transferred to the Consumer Grievance Redressal System (CGRS) of UHBVN or DHBVN by the call centre, he added.
