Coal production in Talcher area of Mahanadi Coalfields (MCL) has come to a grinding halt since yesterday.
Sources say project officer of 25 million tonne per annum Bhubaneswari mine was manhandled last evening. Two other mines also affected impacting one lakh tonne of daily supply.
The CIL subsidiary is caught in a turf war between BJP and the ruling BJD for sometime.
