Codissia Industrial Park Ltd (CIPL), which signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu government during the Global Investors Meet recently, will be establishing two industrial parks — one north of Avinashi Road and the other south of Trichy Road located at a distance of 20-25-km from the city.

“The government has assured to provide all statutory clearances and assistance. Earlier, there were difficulties in procuring continuous parcels of land required for the project. We are now at the final stages of land procurement and the project consultant IL&FS is in the process of surveying and finalising the layout.”

Water supply “Steps have been taken to ensure water supply of up to 10 lakh litres a day for our industrial estate at the two locations, AV Varadharajan, Managing Director, CIPL said.

The two industrial parks will accommodate 380 industrial units and the total project outlay estimated at over ₹3,000 crore, he said.

Hailing the State Government’s move to amend a 2013 GO and issue a fresh one in February this year, Codissia President EK Ponnuswamy said “the parks will now be eligible for a subsidy of ₹10 cr for each industrial estate.

The Codissia President said the parks will have high standard of infrastructure facilities, including good network of roads, water supply, sewerage treatment plant and electrical distribution system.
