Power supply was normal in West Bengal throughout the day on Wednesday after the Eastern Grid was restored this morning.
According to Power Ministry sources, power generation and supply was fully restored early morning on Wednesday. Thermal power plants under the state generation utility were generating nearly 2,000 MW.
Damodar Valley Corporation generated 2,400 MW power against its 2,800 MW capacity.
Train services along Eastern and South Eastern routes remained more or less normal on Wednesday. However, a few long-distance trains from Howrah and Sealdah stations were rescheduled.
CESC Ltd, which was not affected during yesterday’s grid collapse, operated normally.
