The External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj spoke to West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee earlier this afternoon, a spokesman for External Affairs said on Wednesday. The telephonic conversation comes hours before the Foreign Minister leaves to Dhaka.
Two Indian nurses who were in the conflict zone have been evacuated and will soon be back in India, a spokesman of the Ministry of External Affairs said. The two nurses were not among the 46 Indian nurses in Tikrit, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has called a meeting of all Indian Ambassadors in the Gulf. The meeting will take place here on June 29
When asked about Indian fishermen held in Sri Lanka, the spokesman said Sri Lanka has released 46 Indian fishermen. They should be returning soon.
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesman added that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no plans to stay back in Brazil for the FIFA world cup finals,
