The Jammu and Kashmir Government is planning to develop an adventure park on the site of river Chenab, which provides one of the world’s best rafting stretches. This was announced by Deputy Commissioner (Reasi) Shahid Iqbal Choudhary while inaugurating an adventure camp here.
Choudhary said a team of experts from Army, tourism department and civil administration has conducted survey to identify the potential stretches and locations for the purpose.
He further said all possible measures will be taken for developing Reasi as a tourist destination. The locals said the decision will come as a major boost to tourism prospects in the district and will generate job opportunities.
In the day-long adventure camp today, a number of students and local residents enjoyed river rafting on the Chenab river.
