Assam Police constable Abhijeet Baruah on Tuesday officially made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for running barefoot non-stop for over 24 hours in January.
His record was officially announced at the India Office of Guinness Book Of World Record, Green Field Colony, Gurgaon in Haryana, Jorhat Deputy Commissioner R C Jain said here.
Baruah completed the 152-km 200 -metre run barefoot on January 31 on an approved 10-km track monitored by India Chief Observer of the Book of Records Dr Chandra Shekhar Tiwari.
Baruah had made it to the Limca Book of Records in 2010 when he ran from Jorhat to Kaziranga National Park and back to Jorhat completing 200 km in 26 hr 31 min.
