At every stage we are faced with having to make choices. But choices don’t mean an open hand; there are always limitations. That’s life. Today’s Cambuzz is in a sense about making choices, and the need to be proactive and inquisitive. Be it starting an amateur chess club or mastering a latent talent, it is all a matter of initiative.

On another related front, it’s ironic that the man who blew the lid on the US government's spying on global netizens is himself accused of being a spy for having made his investigations public. Snowden’s story must alert us to the dangers of laying bare our lives in the digital sphere.
