The BMW X3 xDrive SUV line now has a sporty variant with the German carmaker announcing the launch of the X3 xDrive 30d M Sport. Manufactured locally at BMW’s plant in Chennai, the X3 30d M Sport is powered by a three-litre six-cylinder in-line diesel engine which is capable of producing 258 hp and maximum torque of 560 Nm. This upgraded engine improves on the existing 20d’s performance, taking just under 6 seconds to hit 100 kmph from standstill. The diesel mill is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission with Cruise Control. The car also comes with the BMW Driving Experience Control switch which gives the driver four driving modes to choose from.

The exteriors prominently feature the M aerodynamic package featuring body-coloured trim on the wheel arches, doors and bumpers, dark shadow metallic diffuser and side sills with additional lighting. The characterisitc M logo is emblazoned on the sides along with the BMW individual high-gloss shadow line. The interior elements comprise sport seats, M leather steering wheel and Pearlpoint Anthracite upholstery as well as a Panorama glass roof.

The M Sport comes with rear and front park distance control and rear view camera as standard options. In addition, it also includes the next generation of BMW’s touch-enabled iDrive, integrated GPS with 3D maps and a surround sound system from Harman Kardon.

The new BMW X3 xDrive30d M Sport is available at an ex-showroom price of ₹59,90,000 in Delhi.
