My fitness “fullosophy” is not just about exercising, but living fully. And here’s how I do it. By nurturing passion — art, design and collecting antiques are my longstanding passions. I’ve travelled the world, seeking these treasures and learning from fabulous people.

Staying in touch with friends — I’ve lived in 16 cities — from Aligarh to Quito to Aden, Stockholm and Basel. I have friends in pretty much every country, and they keep me rooted. A quick chat (or chai) with friends keeps me charged.

Sweating it out — I was into kick-boxing and squash, but lately, it’s running, gym and cricket.

M usic and poetry — Poets such as Faiz, Allama Iqbal, Mir, Robert Frost have left us gems; their work provides the right mix of introspection and inspiration. Of course, when all else fails, there’s always The Eagles, Pink Floyd and The Doors!

Family — spending time with family keeps me fulfilled; my mother, a retired medical school professor, lives with me and every day, I realise that no matter how grown up you are, your parents never stop seeing the child in you. This is an excuse for me to stay as curious and as young.
