British Airways has hired Carat, a network brand of global media house Dentsu Aegis Network, as its media agency for India and South Asia. The international airline would be rolling out a series of television campaigns in the coming weeks.
Priti Khurana, Marketing Lead for British Airways (India and South Asia) said, “British Airways is preferred by a large part of discerning Indian travellers and we are keen to take the appeal much further. We have already made sizeable investments on the technology and infrastructure front for the maximum impact”.
British Airways has been flying to India for around 85 years and currently operates 48 flights a week from London Heathrow to five cities -- Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Kartik Iyer, MD of Carat India said “We are absolutely delighted that British Airways has chosen Carat to partner them in this growth phase of their business. British Airways had always led the market in creating iconic brand communication campaigns and we look forward to partnering them in their endeavour to engage with the vast travelling population of India.”
