The turnover of BGR Energy Ltd is set to cross the $1 billion mark this year, sources told Business Line . Billings exceed Rs 4,700 crore and the profitability is estimated close to 6.5 per cent, the sources said. In 2009-10, BGR Energy achieved a turnover of Rs 3,069 crore (on standalone basis) and made a net profit of Rs 201 crore. BGR is the fourth Chennai-based company to join the $1 billion league after CPCL, MRF and Ashok Leyland.
