The Union Ministry of Steel has backed SAIL and BSP's request for deployment of at least one battalion of paramilitary force in the Kanker and Naryanpur districts of Chhattisgarh, where the Rowghat project is located.
According to Ministry sources, the Union Home Ministry is understood to have considered the request and deployment may take place in the second half of the calendar year.
