Wind turbines maker, Suzlon has posted a loss of Rs 1058.9 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal, versus a loss of Rs 849 crore in the same period of last year. The PAT figures for this quarter include Rs 136 crore as one-time cost of restructuring an overseas subsidiary.
The total income of the company also declined to Rs 3,897 crore in the quarter under review against Rs 4,771 crore in the same period of last year.
In a statement, Suzlon said that 219 MW sold in Q1 FY14, against 250 MW for full-year FY13. The Group operational expenditure was down by 31% Q-o-Q, while manpower rationalisation was continuing. Working capital reduced to 11.4% from 13.6% in the current quarter.
