Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, and YC Deveshwar, Chairman of the ITC Group, have been appointed non-official Independent Directors at Air India.
This is the second time that Deveshwar will be associated with AI, as he was the airline’s Chairman from 1991 to 1994. It was during his tenure that the airline took steps to become more customer-focussed and even launched its frequent flyer programme. Our Bureau
