Bajaj Auto sold 2.78 lakh motorcycles in August 2013, representing a drop of 8 per cent compared to the same month last year.
Sales of commercial vehicles during the month were down 17 per cent at 33,605 units, while total sales were down 9 per cent at 3.12 lakh units.
Exports during the month, however, saw a growth of 10 per cent to 1.44 lakh units.
