BEML Ltd, a Defence public sector company, has opened its district office at Leh.
With this, BEML has become the first Defence PSU to establish an office in Leh. The newly opened office is located at an altitude between 10,500 feet and 22,000 feet and the ambient temperature varies from (+)25 degree to (-)35 degree with the presence of oxygen as low at 50 per cent MSL.
Through this office, BEML will be extending after sales support to its mining and construction equipment deployed through DGBR and E-In-C.
The office was inaugurated by Brig B S Sandhu, Chief Engineer, Himank Project of DGBR. On the occasion, Col Harveer Singh, Officer Commanding, Arun Kumar Sharma, Executive Engineer of DGBR, and senior officials of DGBR Himank and Vijayak Project were present along with BEML officials.
The marketing network of BEML comprises 12 regional offices, four zonal service centres and 17 district offices, including Leh across the country, to extend after sales service support to its customer round the clock.
