Cochin Shipyard Limited delivered today the seventh of the series of 20 Fast Patrol Vessels being built for the Indian Coast Guard. 

With this, the yard has created a record of delivering 9 ships in 9 months at a pace of an average of one vessel a month. The ships delivered consisted of 7 Fast Patrol Vessels for the Indian Coast Guard and two Platform Supply Ships for international Owners. 

The yard delivered the previous ship (ICGS Agrim) to Coast Guard on May 30. The company has delivered now the next ship within a span of one and a half months as compared to the contractual requirement of delivery every three months. The Coast Guard has expressed satisfaction on the quality of ship delivered by CSL, a release said.

The protocol of delivery and acceptance was signed by RS Sundar, Director (Operations) on behalf of CSL and Commanding Officer (Designate) of the vessel Nitin M Rathore of Indian Coast Guard.
