Kishore Biyani-led Future Consumer Enterprise Ltd, previously known as Future Ventures, has acquired 35 per cent stake in Mumbai-based Sarjena Foods Pvt Ltd, that owns brand Baker Street. However, the company did not disclose the deal size.
The company said in a filing with the BSE that Sarjena Foods is a manufacturing and distributing branded bakery products firm. It also manufactures and exports bakery products.
Shares of Future Consumer Enterprise rose 1.39% to Rs. 8 on BSE, while the exchange’s benchmark Sensex fell 0.18% to 25,201.80 points.
