Sweden-based company Hastens Sangar has expanded its footprint in India with the launch of its fourth showroom in Bengaluru.
The 165-year-old Swedish headquartered company which manufactures super luxury bed manufacturing has partnered with Bangalore-based Sunrise Home Solution.
Further, Hastens plans to soon open its store in Mumbai followed by Chennai and one in Punjab this year, company officials said.
The luxury beds are priced between Rs 4.7 lakh - Rs 40 lakhs, according to company officials.
Hastens near-term goal is to have a uniform retail foot-print in India. Joachim Vieglins, Vice President, Hastens Sanger AB said: “People spend one third of their life in bed and this reflects on the balance two thirds, yet people are willing to spend much more on a car where one does not spend more than 2 hours in a day.”
He added that there are other costs associated with a vehicle such as petrol, service, insurance but people are hesitant to make investments in a place where they spend at least 7 hours. The bed from Hastens, comes with a 25 years’ warranty, comes with natural materials such as flax, horsehair, cotton, wool and Swedish pine that makes for better ventilation, thereby giving comfortable sleep, the company claims.
Also, the natural materials used in beds are almost zero on allergens and completely non carcinogenic, company executives added.
