Hilton India, the Indian arm of global hospitality chain Hilton Group, is planning to double its capacity in the country within the next three years from the current 19 hotels and 3,000 keys, said Navjit Ahluwalia, Senior Vice-President and country head, Hilton India, at the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton in Ahmedabad on Friday. Set up with an investment of ₹200 crore, the property has 173 rooms including seven suites. “It took four years to built the property, which is designed by Studio Symbiosis of Pune, and the interiors are designed by designers from Singapore. We expect a higher-than-average occupancy,” said Tanmay Bathwal, Managing Director, Hirise Hospitality Pvt Ltd, who owns the property.
