India reiterated its commitment to source natural gas from Turkmenistan through the TAPI (Turkmenistan Afghanistan Pakistan India) pipeline at the steering committee meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan, made a renewed pitch for the expeditious appointment of a mutually acceptable consortium leader, which is crucial for the implementation of the project.
Pradhan also stressed on the need for the project and how it is a win-win proposition for all participating companies.
The Minister also met Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines.
