Tata Motors' group company, Jaguar Land Rover has joined hands with Dassault Systèmes for use of advanced tools in new product development. Dassault's President and CEO, Mr Bernard Charlès, and JLR's CEO, Dr Ralf Speth, signed the pact.
3D simulation
“The agreement will see advanced digital 3D simulation and development tools transform JLR's product development processes.
“The two companies will work together to jointly develop industry-leading product creation solutions,” said a joint statement.
V6 Solutions
JLR will deploy Dassault's V6 solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM), a process which drives and controls all vehicle creation processes. This will help increase operational efficiency and reduce complexity.
The development engineers from Dassault and JLR will also work together on new processes and solutions that will be simplified and specialised to create new generations of premium vehicles.
