Jet Airways, 24 per cent owned by Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, has decided to close all domestic check-in counters 45 minutes prior to departure. Earlier, the carrier would allow check-in till 30 minutes before departure.
The latest move is an extension of the check-in policy currently observed by Jet and JetKonnect in metro-cities, the company said in a press statement.
All baggage related formalities, such as getting the checked in bags through security as happens in some airports, will have to be completed before the check in counters close, it said.
