JK Paper Ltd today reported a loss of Rs 24.84 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 4.66 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, JK Paper said in a filing to the BSE.
However, JK Paper’s net sales increased to Rs 469.10 crore in the July-September 2013 quarter as compared to Rs 422.11 crore during the same period a year ago.
For the first half of 2013-14 fiscal, JK Paper registered a loss of Rs 23.46 crore as against a profit of Rs 18.80 crore in the year-ago period.
JK Paper net sales from operations in H1 period (April-September) increased to Rs 889.63 crore as against Rs 831.92 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of JK Paper today closed at Rs 28.25 apiece at the BSE, down 0.18 per cent from the previous close.
